Lionsgate Portal 8/8
When: 26/7 until the 12/8 - peaking on the 8/8
I don’t know about you but when I first heard about Lionsgate I didn’t fully understand what was going on. Lots professed to know the answers and the energy. It look me a while to connect with it, and to understand what it was communicating. I worked through meditation, and mythology to uncover what it was here to show and tell me. Here’s what I understand of it, and if you resonate I would love to hear what it means to you.
The Helical Rising of Sirius and Lionsgate
Lionsgate was traditionally associated with the helical rising of the star Sirius in ancient Egypt. A start linked with Isis in her incarnation as the fertility goddess Sopdet. As the star rose is it was a sign that the nile would flood and the land would return back to a more fertile state. However deeper than that is was a sign of rebirth. As in the sky the star Orion rises before Sirius, Orion is symbolic of Isis’ husband Osiris, who was slain by his brother. As Orion symbolically rises from the dead, Siris follows him our of the underworld for it is she would puts him back together. It is the redemptive power of the feminine and her courage that brings the masculine back to life.
The Role of the Aker Lions in our Rebirth
Lions played an important role in this rebirth. In fact the Aker Lyons, where two lions that sit with their backs to each other looking across the horizon in either way. They are the protector of both death and rebirth (frequently depicted on the tombs of Pharaohs). Between these Lions is the Sun and the Ankh. The Sun representing the conscious self, and the ankh representing life. The lions symbolically and on the etheric realm guard consciousness, life and rebirth of this magic. It’s funny at a deeper level because Sirius is also understood as a portal through which other dimensions reach this universe, a star gate. The lion energy would guard this portal allow for ‘life’ to both enter and exit. Added to that it’s celebration on the 8/8, in reference to infinity, is a reminder of our true nature.
