Chiron In Aries (May 2025 - June 2032)
3rd of May 2025 – 29th of June 2032
The ‘Wounded Healer’ enters Aries in May after a 9 year stint in Pisces. We’re on the precipice of change.
FIRST UP WHO IS CHIRON?
Chiron is an asteroid that sits between Saturn and Uranus, as such has a transpersonal energy to him (I’ve written a big about him here). He is the wounded healer, he holds within him both our greatest ‘pain’ (which stems from a sense of abandonment – which ironically feels individual but is actually a collective energy – as well as the key to our divinity.
He is a little like the Rumi poem: ‘The Wound is Where the Light Enters’.
As an FYI Chiron takes 50 years to work it’s way around the zodiacal constellations, and as his orbit is uneven he spends longer in certain constellations than others. For instance he spends a long time in Pisces (where he has just been on and off since 2016 – making this a 9 year transit of the sign) and he moves quickly through signs like Leo which he zooms through in around 2 years. It feels like there is an intent to the signs he spends longest in like Pisces – which represent spirituality, and the wounding we hold with the divine – that stem from an inner emptiness. As well as Aries which we’ll go into in a moment – he will be in Aries for 8 years. As a side note out biggest Chiron transit is in our late 40s to 50s when we have our Chiron Returns, which with women will denote menopause, and in men the transiting into wild man or women.
CHIRON IS THE BRIDGE BETWEEN THE SEEN + UNSEEN
I know this is not a celestial body we are taught about in school but Chiron sits out between Saturn and Uranus. Chiron was only a relatively recent discovering in astrology/ astronomy - he was discovered on November 1st, 1997. So he’s a very new addition to the chart.
His position is important in how we interpret him in a chart. Saturn is the last visible planet to the naked eye, beyond that we need to bring in the telescope. Chiron is therefore seen like a bridge between Saturn and Uranus - connecting, in a a metaphorical sense the known and unknown worlds. To give some more context Chiron holds almost shamanic, healer like properties in how we interpret him in a chart. He will show us where you hold your greatest wound and equally where you hold the greatest power to heal others.
CHIRON ‘THE WOUNDED HEALER’
In Greek mythology Chiron was a centaur - half man, half horse. Son of the titan Cronos, who took the form of a horse when he lay with (more like raped) the ocean nymph Philyra. She fell pregnant and upon seeing her son, when he was born as a centaur, Philyra was shocked and so disgusted she abandoned her son. With both parents rejecting him, we now have a centaur with some very very deep wounds.
Regardless of chronology, Chiron was adopted by Apollo (even though Apollo was Chiron’s nephew). He was renown for his skills in the healing arts (most likely taught by Apollo) - medicine, prophecy, astrology, botany, pharmacy and the science of herbs and medicine. His mastery of these skills talks to an overcompensation for his early life rejection. (We’ve all been there). He was looking to the healing arts in order to heal himself.
Now let’s move to his death where the wounded healer archetype becomes even more apparent. As the son of Cronus, Chiron was born immortal, however he exchanged his immortality for Prometheus’ life (that’s another story to tell all together). So Chiron become mortal in a very self-less bargain with the godhead (and his half brother) Zeus. Then moving forward in time, and in an altercation Chiron was pierced by Hercules arrow which had been treated with poison (the blood of hydra). The wound was deep and deadly, although Chiron had mastered the healing arts he could not heal himself. Zeus took pity on his mortality and placed him amongst the stars for eternity as the constellation Centauri.
CHIRON IS A KEY TO UNDERSTANDING YOUR OWN WOUNDING
We all have our deep wounds - whether that’s rejection by a parent, self worth, past life karma, ancestral trauma etc - that we carry around with us. We often enter jobs or vocations where this wound shows up. This shows up as projecting onto others or healing them the way we are trying to heal ourselves or the polarity, we run in the opposite direction and overcompensate.
This wound is a marking of where we need to expand our consciousness, clear energy or raise our own vibration.
HOW DO YOU KNOW WHERE THIS WOUNDING IS FOR YOU?
Most of us know what this wound is or at least our higher self does. That said, because the wound is so deep and we’ve been born with it in most cases we can’t always see it - in our everyday consciousness. Added to that we’ve compensated for so long it’s just a part of our subconscious. One great tool for spotting it is astrology. In astrology every birth chart will have Chiron’s position marked on it. Where he is, is where our deepest wound is and also our efforts to heal this.
I’ll also be running a Chiron Sacred Circle coming up in June over 3 weekends to use embodied astrology to look at the wounding. Sign-Up Here.
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT WITH CHIRON IN ARIES….
Themes: Personal Will, Drive, Physical Healing, Relationship to the Body, Direction in Life.
Aries is also typically the ruler of the First House on the chart, as it’s the very first sign in the Zodiac. So you can see any time a planet shows up here, it’s indicating the start of a new cycle or journey.
That’s exactly what’s up with Chiron, you’re about to start a brand new cycle of learning.
The first house typically rules your identity and ego - how you see yourself. Again another hint with how Chiron will show up. Finally it’s important to talk about how Aries energy feels. Aries is by nature a more warrior energy - it’s impulsive, high energy, very direct…there’s no fluffing around here…in essence it knows what it wants to do very quickly and it won’t back down until it gets it. It can show up sometimes as being a little competitive, but in it’s divine for it’s the energy of a hero - someone who’s come to save the day... But in the case of Chiron you are your own saviour.
Ok Chiron is going to feel so very different to his time in Pisces. He’s still going to be the wounded healer - shedding light on where you hold your greatest wounds and also upgrading your ability to heal - but these next 8 years your head is being pulled back out of the water and onto dry land. With a bunch of knowledge about your subconscious on board we’re going to be focused on how we integrate that into our actual identity. Yes, hello ego! But more than that we’re talking about a new cycle all together.
We’re starting that new cycle with looking at ourselves in our day to day life. I need to mention this is not going to be a walk in the park…in case you didn’t pick up those vibes from the description of Aries…this is going to be direct, energetic and persistent. This will be a time where negative self talk, lack of self love, and issues with identity get put under the microscope. Yes, shit will show up if you’re ‘doing the work’ but know that that “shit” does not define you.
Over the next 8 years, you’re going to become your own hero. After all only you can save you. This is the feeling of Chiron in Aries. It’s the realisation that when we heal ourselves, we heal others. When we love ourselves, we love the world. Our wounds are all the same and our ability to heal is infinite. Welcome to 8 years of you becoming your own saviour. Hell yes!
KEY CHAPTERS OF CHIRON’S TIME IN ARIES:
There are a couple of key chapters to watch with Chiron which are based on the Nakshatras (lunar mansions) - which break up each sign into key themes..

This can also be a period where we dealing with energy around our own healing journey, where there are cures to disease that haven’t been known before, and there is the ability to move at pace in life.
Bharani (19th of April 2029 – 8th of May 2032): As Chiron moves into Bharani Nakshatra in 2029 there can be a big focus collectively on advances in the brain, neuroscience and the subconscious mind.
