A Sacred Vedic Celebration: Dīpāvalī
FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS AND CELEBRATION OF Śrī - LAKSHMI
SUNDAY, 8th November 2026 · 7:00pm AEDT · Live on Zoom & Replay Available
Once a year, a row of small flames turns the darkest night into a celebration. This is Dīpāvalī, the festival of lights, and it belongs to Lakṣmī – Śrī, the Goddess of wealth, beauty, grace and good fortune.
What is Dīpāvalī?
Dīpāvalī means ‘a row of lamps’. It is celebrated at the darkest point of the lunar month - the no moon day or New Moon Tithi - when homes are cleaned, lamps are lit in every doorway, and Lakṣmī is welcomed in. It is a festival of light over darkness, and of abundance arriving where there is space, devotion and care for it.
In the old stories, Lakṣmī rose from the ocean of milk, radiant and seated on a lotus. Dīpāvalī is the night we remember her, and invite her to stay - remember her blessings which live within us.
What the circle is about…
Join Mantra teacher Siddhi Śakti and Astrologer Pippa Kate on the sacred celebration of Dīpāvalī and the Goddess Lakṣmī – Śrī.
In circle we will:
Explore the mythology of Lakṣmī, the embodiment of wealth, and what her stories teach us about true abundance;
Discover her relationship to Venus (Śukra), and what it means to meet her during this retrograde period;
Learn how to invoke her through Mantra, and feel her within each of us through sacred sound;
Through sound and story remembering her vibration, how she lives within and seeing her in the world around you.
Siddhi Shakti brings the sound and the Mantra. Pippa Kate brings the stars and the story.
Together, we make a space to sing, listen and light the way.
When: 8 November, 7:00pm [AEDT] | Online, live in circle, in time with Dīpāvalī.
Can’t join live? A replay will be available, so Lakṣmī’s mantras will be with you whenever you’re ready.
