Let’s talk about the Aquarius Full Moon…
This is the final Aquarius Full Moon for the year. The past month has been intense (added to that we’ve had the Leo New Moon + Lionsgate lying in the middle of it). With the first Aquarius Full Moon kicking of this energy on the 24th of July, this second Aquarius Full Moon brings to fruition the energy that has been building since the 11th-12th of February this year. There is a sense that this Full Moon brings with it a big purging of energy, in order for the new to enter. That is only exacerbated by Uranus (Aquarius’ ruling planet) going retrograde 2 days before the Full Moon. So, if you’re feeling your sense of connection to society and your sense of duty to the care of others then that is so on point with this Full Moon.

What the Aquarius Full Moon means for you?
Firstly, I feel the need to state that having 2 Full Moons in a row is not unique but it’s also not a regular occurrence. The last time we had 2 Aquarius Full Moons in a row was on 22nd of July and 21st of August in 2013. Ok so let’s get into it….
Aquarius is the sign of the rebel, the visionary, the progressive and the being is able to see beyond the convention of the society they live within. This might sound very selfish, and unhealed Aquarian energy often is - in fact it can feel a lot like unhealed Leo energy. When Aquarius is healed within us we see that we are connected to all life that surrounds us. As such there can be the birth within of a desire to create collective change. To break through convention that does not serve humanity. A rebellion that is driven by a care of duty to those around us. This isn’t about telling others they are wrong, insulting their intelligence or stepping in to save the day. You are not here to rescue anybody but yourself.
You might notice around this Moon, a deep longing within the collective for things to return to the way they were. This is a beautiful encouragement for you to see that longing for the past is never the way toward the future. This Moon encourages you to not fear the coming change, but to start to imagine the possibilities that are now available to you. It’s time to dream big, and to dream from the heart - the place that connects you to all that surround you. So trade suspicion for optimism, fear for compassion and frustration for faith in the inherent goodness of the universe that lives around and within you.
What is the astrology for this Full Moon?
The Full Moon at 29’36 of Aquarius will be in beautiful alignment with Jupiter Retrograde. This is a the key piece of astrology that has me filled with enthusiasm and curiosity! Jupiter is known as the ‘lucky planet’ but he is also an energy that expands all that he touches. He called for you to see the inherent optimism and opportunity in chaos. In the case of this Full Moon it can feel like a you’re being filled with the compassion of the universe - of starting to shift from fear to imagination. Seeing that you can either accept what is happening, rally against it or create a new future! He is encouraging the later!
How Uranus Retrograde will add to this energy?
2 days before the Full Moon Uranus will go retrograde - where he will stay until January 2022. He’s joining Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune + Chiron in this position. His shift adds some deep reflective energy to the Full Moon. Calling for you to see just how far you have come - personally and as a society - in moving forward. As a collective we are the deep throws of some immense shadow work, as the light of consciousness is shone on the ways in which we create separation, manipulate and hold ourselves back. This period - particularly until October - is one of integrating what you have learnt. It’s time to take it slow, to reflect and to start to see that you are not a victim of change but rather can help direct its course. Along with the Full Moon, Uranus Rx is encouraging you to get introspective and from that place see the changes you wish to make in order to bring more light, understanding and compassion into your life (and ultimately the collective).
