The Sagittarius New Moon is most definitely the most expansive of the year. It's calling for you to come face-to-face with your limitations and push beyond them. As we grow-up we stop dreaming about our future, and when we do these dreams often represent something a little more realistic than those of our childhood. This Moon is not settling for what is possible or what you know you can achieve; rather it wants you to be stretched by your imagination. It's giving you a glimpse at your true nature as a a being of unlimited possibility.

OUR POWER SCARES US

It's a funny thing to say, but we're so used to hearing about our limitations, our character flaws, and what's possible at a personal or societal level. This is so drilled into us that we forget the dormant power that lies within. That burning fire that whispers 'there has to be more to life than this'. This fire scares us, because we don't know it's limits and with that the way our life could be uprooted if we embraced it. This New Moon is encouraging you to be courageous, daring and embracing of this inner fire. To allow it to flow through your life, and realise that it will burn away those restrictions (if you're ready to put away the ego's desire for the status quo). You are so incredibly powerful and this New Moon + coming 18 months is going to demonstrate this to you.

JUPITER IS DEMANDING SPIRITUAL EXPANSION

Sagittarius' ruler Jupiter will shift direct 5 minutes after the New Moon peaks, added to that it will be in perfect harmony with the energy. Jupiter is called Brihaspati in Vedic Astrology. This is an energy associated with the Guru, and his story is one where when he was born he drove away darkness with his light (which is the literal the meaning of Guru). As such this New Moon can have us shifting our perspective on the darkness of the world. Realising that if we shine brighter - embracing the power of our soul - we can have a magnetic effect upon our environment and the people around us. Encouraging them to do the same.

IT'S TIME TO EXPLORE, TRAVEL + LEARN

On the material realm, this is a New Moon to lay intentions around where you wish to explore. That can manifest as travelling, as learning something new or teaching others your skills. At another level it can involve expanding your mind and experiencing a new level of consciousness. Each of these acts is pushing the boundaries of what you know is possible. Sagittarius does this with joy, optimism and love. It's sparkling nature calls for you to explore your world + mind from a place of knowing that the nature of all things is good (at their heart). Remember there is no one on this planet that does not have a higherself.

IT STARTS WITH YOU SHINING YOUR LIGHT BRIGHTER

I recently learnt a funny fact that Jupiter (because of its size) could house the entirety of all the planets in our solar system. In a way it's energy represents our spiritual nature. Just as Jupiter could house the planets; our soul houses the body. As such this is a calling to trust and open to your higher nature (that which houses you). To allow the light of the soul to shine in this world of shadows (Kali Yuga). Remembering that if you want to change the world, it starts with changing yourself. You are a micro of the macrocosm. As you expand, explore and make that soul connection stronger you can change the world.

THERE IS ALSO THE OPPORTUNITY FOR LOVE

In Vedic astrology this New Moon will be in Scorpio aligned with the Anuradha Nakshatra (known as the Star of Success). This is an energy associated with the Goddess Radha (an aspect of the divine Lakshnmi who is abundance). She is loving, compassionate and devoted. She is teaching us about the expansive nature of love (as she is Krisha's Consort), and opening us up to a new understanding of its character. In her mythology with Krishna they never marry. As Krishna says to her 'Marriage is a union of two souls. You are I are one soul. How can I marry myself?' In this is a depth of wisdom about the true nature of love. In the eyes of this Sagittarius New Moon love is designed to be expansive, spiritual and gifting of freedom.
